As part of the World Physiotherapy Week Celebration, Nootan College of Physiotherapy, Sankalchand Patel University (SPU), organized community health care services on 8th and 9th September, 2025 across the villages of Kada, Saduthala, Tarabh, and Valam.
The initiative aimed to extend physiotherapy services to the community and create awareness about the importance of physical health, early diagnosis, and preventive care. Faculty members and students actively participated in conducting health assessments, physiotherapy consultations, and awareness sessions for the local population.
Residents were guided on maintaining proper posture, managing musculoskeletal issues, and incorporating simple exercises into their daily routines for improved health and mobility. The team also emphasized the significance of early intervention and regular physical activity in preventing chronic conditions.
This outreach program not only benefited the community but also provided students with valuable practical exposure and hands-on experience in community-based physiotherapy services. The initiative reflected the institution’s commitment to social responsibility and promoting healthcare awareness at the grassroots level.
